Katie grew up in Taiwan. She obtained her Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Ichan School of Medicine with Deanna Benson. She did her post-doctoral work at The Rockefeller University with Priya Rajasethpathy. She joined Children’s National Research Institute as an assistant professor in 2022. She enjoys outdoor sports, travel, and she tries to make time for yoga.

Rachel graduated from Albion College in 2021 where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Secondary Education with a minor in Psychology. She obtained her Master of Science in Integrative Neuroscience from Georgetown University in 2022 and conducted research under Dr. Italo Mocchetti examining associative learning and memory in opioid use disorder. She plans to pursue her PhD in neuroscience with interests in neurodegeneration, drug addiction, and synaptic plasticity. Outside of lab she enjoys skiing, swimming, and going to EDM concerts.
